Great ale with which is surprisingly bitter for an oatmeal ale. The initial bitterness is followed by a roasted nuttiness and then a clean finish. Very easy drinking beer, perfect with a curry or roasted meat as it can cut through and stand-up to strong flavours.

The colour is a dark tan but not quite as dark as it appears in the photo.

Went down a treat with a sage and garlic fried pork rib chop.
