I’m sure you have guessed this site is about beer so let me explain a bit more about it.

After a Valentine’s Day present of about $70 worth of beer on the condition I had never tried any of it. After finally figuring out which beers I had tried I thought I would start a record of for future Valentine’s Day shopping trips.  I used the Evernote Food app on my phone which made it quick and easy to take a photo and record the beer name.

The original purpose of my beer record was simply to let me check if I had already tried a beer or not and if it was any good.  More recently I’ve been trying to include more tasting notes and better photos of each beer which led to the idea of a website to easily share it all.

The criteria to be added to the beer list is simply that I must drink a full bottle, can or pint. Unlike the current trend of only drinking craft beer or PBR, I’ll give pretty much any beer a try and add it to the list.

The name Quiet Pints comes from a common phrase in Ireland which can mean anything from an actual quiet pint to a week long session. You never know what a quiet pint will lead to.
